The project “Modern Entrepreneurship” took place in the town of Murzasichle with the participation of 10 youth organizations from Romania, Lithuania, Greece, and Poland. The initiative responded to the needs of young people regarding the acquisition of competences related to entrepreneurship and business management, while also raising awareness of the role of an effective leader and how to become one. By implementing the project, we addressed a gap in formal education, where entrepreneurship-related skills are often difficult to acquire. Young people interested in entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, or management usually have to pursue specialized studies, while those studying in completely different fields—such as music, art, software engineering, or fashion design—often had promising business ideas but lacked the fundamental knowledge to move forward. As reported by members of our organization and partner organizations, these young people were often hesitant to take the “first step” into business due to this lack of essential entrepreneurial competencies.
